It's been sunny here for what feels like years now (OK, it's been a couple of weeks...still great though) so in praise of the sun here is Ella F yet again...this time accompanied by Tom Jones and a couple of rocking chairs. They're singing a song I first knew in a 1976 version by Boney M (yes, Boney M...they did a great version of it) but it was written and first sung by one Bobby Hebb. It's a smasher of a song... and I posted it on facebook the other day but thought I'd share it on here too. I know some of you don't get over that way.

a lovely choice, and a good idea to celebrate while ye have the weather - it's gone dull and muggy here... ah well.
It is so magical the effect of the sun. I walked on the beach this morning with a friend and our dog - it was just beautiful! Nowhere more beautiful.

By coincidence after making a joke, I've got Boney M's 'Brown girl in the ring' going round and round my brain and I can't stand it, but it won't stop.I think I'll have to get it surgically removed.
AAAaaarrrggghhh! La lala la la!!
Yes, 'Sunny' was definitely their high point for me! Ra-ra-rasputin and all that...amusing but no, please, no!

An unlikely combination Rachel.
How are you doing by the way - do hope you are feeling better after a bad few months.
Not too bad, Weaver - it's busy end-of-term time and the sun's shining and all that helps. Also I've had a break from all the Mum-related stuff (sorting her possessions etc.). I did all the essentials as soon as I could but in the past couple of weeks I've just been taking it easy - seeing friends, walking a lot.
Thanks for asking.
