Skies and more

We're still down in England visiting family and friends but I've been meaning to have a go at Skywatch Friday for ages (keep seeing it over at Susan's) so I thought I'd post a bit of Yorkshire sky whilst we're here. Here is the sky over Leeds this afternoon:

We set off home tomorrow but in the meantime there's also a poem of mine just now on ink, sweat and tears. Whatever qualifies for normal service will resume on here some time soon!

I see a giant-headed lion. Falling on his face.

Just got back from Wales last night. You know, I'm sure I saw this cloud drifting past us up here... :)

And I see a little kid looking up, arms open. Perhaps Small Girl is in charge of clouds? :)

Have fun!

I've also just seen an emu standing, in a rather sinister fashion, over a baby... yikes.

That, Mr McK, is what you get for blogging before breakfast!

Yes, I'm home. Worn out...but home.

It's a whale and her baby whale - made from clouds.

I don't know what the rest of you are on... :)

It is quite clearly the head of an elephant (as it eats a whole banana).

And who started this cloud-reading business? Ah, yes, DMcK...

If you can't blog before breakfast and still be nonsensical, all I can say is (in a daily mail style) - what's the world coming to?!

Welcome back, hope you all had a nice time away. :)

And I always look at shapes in clouds. Before I knew how to photograph I imagined myself making a book of photographs of cloud shapes. :)

Glad you're home...it's too quiet when you take off like that. :)

Okay, except for deemikay's lion, I can see the rest. What DOES that say about us? I'm hoping it's just that we're a creative lot.

I can see the whales... still trying to see the lion. A perfect cloud for making things of I think!

Meanwhile, good luck with everything going on--

Love the photograph. I'm in Italy. And I've barely bore witness to such skies. Much to my disappointment.

I swear the weather here, since I arrived early Feburary, has been dismal, and bleak, in the most Scottish sense of the word. Which has shock me so. Like some kind of perpetual winter.

Your photograph was reassuring. I love th azzure sky. And the perfect white clous. Optimistic sky!

It can't stay like that forever McGuire! I'm sure the Mediterranean summer is on its way!
