I was a young person once (really). And when I was Friday night was all about one thing - DANCING. Sometimes I danced quite literally all weekend (sleep? Sleep was for wimps!).
Disco was the first music I ever danced to really and so let's have some of that to get us in a weekend mood. Here's a clip from 1977 (OK, I was ten then....not exactly queen of the dancefloor) but it has some really unforgettable dancing.
Happy Friday night everyone. See you soon for the Poetry Bus (this week's challenge here).

Boy, has that made getting dinner ready easier! I can remember that very DLT Top of the Pops, and The Floaters - oh, dancing clouds of men!
And whilst Ralph had the best message, it was un-PC Charles for me every time. That voice!
May just have this on loop till the salmon's done.
It was Swiss made me think of it. Then I listened to it four times in a row!

When I see things like this I always think of 'The Salford Test'ie how long would he/ they/ it ,last in Salford before someone twatted them with a baseball bat.
I'd give these lads 10 seconds.
I guess it depends who you know in Salford...

Ah yes...those moves! We use to refer to them as "The Motown School of Dance".
Sailing into the weekend..thanks!
And in pale blue... they look like bridesmaids!

Some people would find their dancing a little on the camp side, but you and I know they're totally smoooooth! Oh yeah!
Never been anything wrong with camp in my world!
And hello.
Lovely. Disco was always on in the background, so to speak, for people of my age but you were the one who turned the volume up Foxy.
Soul music too, come to think of it. I will always be very grateful .. x
And interestingly it never worked the other way with punk or the Fall!
