Fantastic, in truest sense, but not an actual enjoy - quite heart-wrenching (I'm a sucker for investing animation with emotion) and so many more questions than answers. Also hypnotic, and I want to watch it again straight away. Can't wait to see what the boys make of it...
Our Girl thought it was sad ('why is everything sad?' she said or something along those lines...). I just liked the pictures... and I like the way he plays the old joanna too (if you don't mind the namesake!). Girl also said 'is he putting on that voice?' and I said 'not sure, I think that might just be his voice'. x
I liked the colours and the piano too.Loved the colourful sand on the beach.BBeelliissiimmoo!
There's so many interesting things out there it's impossible to see/find even a fraction of them all.Blogs are good help for finding some of the best stuff. Thanks Fox!
When I used to hang around on myspace there was so much music and so many bands but I always thought this guy stood out from some of the packs. He has some lovely lyrics now and again and his voice is distinctive and, as I say, I like the piano too. Then there's the animation. It said on facebook that this took 2 years to make. x
In all the excitement of Beavers starting back (where are the woggles?!) and the launch we never watched last night. Will update you later. I'm not surprised at the two years, it is very beautiful. As is the track itself, I particularly liked, "I'm scared of the future and I'm mildly scared of you"
Loved the rhythmic editing - especially of the rose on the train tracks at the end. The animation was mesmeric! I liked the sand, too, and the glow around the moon...reminded me of a painting of my daughter's...and the way the houses fell away and...and..and...

And now I feel miserable...
Yes, T, a lovely pair of lines there.
And Rachel...you know he's not a real boy, right?
x
T1 says, "Doesn't seem to show all of it - I'm wondering what happens next and there's a strain on my head, for some reason."
T2 says, "It's kind of happy and kind of sad, and I want to know what happens next."
I found it even more sad the second time round. Boo hoo!
See, I really don't find it sad! It's not real enough..it's real things I find sad, I think.
x
Whereas I am the absolute opposite. Real things I can do something about...
All of them?
xx
