There was twa of 'em...

So, some of you were commenting on Mr Turnbull's likeness to a certain TV character in the last post... well, here he is with an actor from that same TV series (photo taken at Latitude Festival in England last year apparently).

But don't forget...the reason we are talking about this... details of the October event featuring poetry from Tim Turnbull, Anna Dickie, Morgan Downie, Juliet Wilson and music from Dundee choir Loadsaweeminsingin are here.

I've got it now! Aren't they minor characters I can't quite place from an early Guy Ritchie film? Or possibly failed wannabees from an early pilot of Dad's Army?

(Sorry, Rachel, I can feel through the cyber-static that you're getting really pissed off with this.)

Thought you were going off for a zen month or something...enjoying the wabi-sabi links by the way. Flaws and imperfections - my area of expertise!

Bloggers don't disappear that quickly, Rachel - you know that! They kinda fade away, comment ... by slow... comment...

Sounds good. Do you know if the Dundee people have sung "our tune" yet? :)

i don't know that other bloke. mind you i'm in that tiny minority of people who have never, ever seen an episode of fools and horses...

mr tt tho. a dapper gent these days. the smartest dressed man in poetry he says. i feel a need to out-sartorialize.

Dominic - I know they've practised it but don't know if it's had a public airing yet. I think if they can they might sing it here in October. Hope so!

Swiss - as I said last post I never watched it much (and certainly not at the time...maybe years later to see what it was). I know a lot of people who did watch it though.

Looking forward to the Best Dressed Poet Wars. I've been reading his 'Stranded in Sub-Atomica' this morning - looking forward to October even more now! Namechecks for Middlesbrough, Led Zep and rude poems about the ICA... sounds like heaven!

Though it should be mentioned that the title 'Best Dressed Poet' isn't exactly hard to come by...
